(To answer your question, yes, the puff can be machine washed. Just make sure you use a delicate cycle with a gentle detergent, such as our Le Blanc Silk & Lingerie Wash, and use only cold water, NO HEAT! Then allow it to air dry and then brush it back out with an animal type brush (fine bristled). One other way the manufacturer recommends is good for people in snow country, and that is to rub it in clean snow, and then again, air dry, and re-brush. I live in Georgia, so that won't work very well for me, at least not very often! -- Miss Vicki)

I am a semi-retired lady and one of my 'old' school friends (we are in our sixties) has been looking for a powder puff like those we used to use when we were in high school in the fifties - they came with the round box of bath powder. Thank you following up so quickly. My mother is 81 years and lives with me. As her health has declined she needs more assistance to perform basic functions such as bathing, washing her hair, etc. One of the items she frequently talks about is a long-handled powder puff.
Apparently you could fill one side of the head with powder and then pat your body with the puff side. My mother often expresses sorrow that she has no idea what happened to that puff since it could reach places she wishes she could reach now!
I have looked high and low for a similar product (apparently popular in the 40's) and just can't find anything like she describes. So, in lieu of a practical long-handled puff, I ended up searching for an elegant one. My mother has always appreciated 'finer' extravagances so I hope your product will not only make her life easier, but also make her smile.

"Cherry stone pillows have been a godsend for me. They don't burn you like hot water bottles, and you don't have worry about turning them off like heating pads. Plus, they conform to the curves of your face and neck much better and they have moisture to them so that when you breathe in the air through the pillow it somehow works to keep your sinuses moist. ....I could go on and on... So many people have never heard about them, but a friend of mine who suffers from allergies told me about them and I have been working to "spread the gospel" so to speak. They are wonderful and soothing.... you get the idea. ;)
